Here in Australia we know all about the sun and the damage caused by the sun. As a Mum I am bordering on obsessive when it comes to protecting my beautiful daughter. Before heading outside in the Summer heat my number one priority is making sure body from top to toe is protected from the sun starting with a natural sunscreen, sun hat and long sleeves.
I do understand the need for a certain amount of sun on the body, but it can be scorching and it doesn’t take long to cause damage, so I’m careful about the time of day for the exposure.
I used to be a sun worshipper, but those days are over for me and I don’t want to see my little girl going down the same track with the problems caused by the depleting ozone layer.
If Charlotte doesn’t wear a hat, She doesn’t go out in the sun and like just about all toddlers I’ve met, there can be protests galore unless I’ve got the right sun hat.
Sun hats for toddlers are imperative so thank heavens there are plenty of choices.
