There are many more divine sunhats to choose from but these would be a couple of my personal faves although I’ll always go for the one with the neck strap because a couple of my daughters divine numbers have been lost to the wind in the past.

Stripes are another favorite of mine. As I write I’m wearing a stripey jumper & my wardrobe is not short of a stripey top or two. Having a laugh right now because as my daughter & my Mum join me at the table, I can’t miss the fact that they are both in stripes, too.

This sunhat for toddlers is just the right shade & the off set, white & deeper orange stripes look great. There are three sunhats in the range and they’re large so I’m guessing this Babybanz Kidz Sunhat would suit either an older or larger toddler. I like the splash of yellow in the logo, too.

What better way to help you feel relaxed on the beach and in the great outdoors than to know your child is protected from the harmful rays of the sun from top to toe (almost)?

I find Summer to be more stressful with a child than the Winter months because I want my girl covered and well protected from the sun especially from midday onwards. A Coolibar UPF 50+ Swim Romper would ease my mind enormously, especially when we’re on the beach. We also go yachting and on deck it’s nigh on impossible to stay out of the sun completely unless you’re below deck of course.

Notice the press studs on the legs. Now that’s a great feature particularly when nature calls. Especially if your child is wet from swimming & playing in the water. Trying to quickly wriggle out of wet clothes is tricky at the best of times.

If tying a bow under the chin becomes a bit laborious because your toddler is constantly trying to untie it you could always modify once again, this time by adding a bit of velcro and cutting the ends. If you do stick with the tie don’t forget to do a double knot in the bow.

I used to have a red coat at 3 & 4 years of age with cuffs and collar in the leopard skin pattern. Since then, I have always loved it! Just a hint of it works for me with this sun hat for toddlers & matching bathers.

Even though I say it isn’t practical, it wouldn’t take too long to sew those neck straps on, but the brim would be harder to modify. It may not be wide enough so just apply some natural sunscreen to the neck to make sure your toddler is fully protected from the sun.

Now, it says the hat is for boys, but I am picturing a lovely cotton dress on a little girl, maybe even denim and this sunhat would look a treat. It really could be worn by either a boy or a girl.

Most hats in my opinion are adaptable. I happen to love wearing my partners caps and he has definitely lost one to me. I need to be careful, because my Dad wants it, too. lol.

The Coolibar UPF 50+ Chlorine Resistant Sun Hat For Toddlers comes in a fabulous array of colours including cancun. Makes me feel happy just looking at the vibrant blue. I like the floppy brim and the little logo. I’m not big on logo’s but if they’re small and subtle, it can sometimes

enhance an item of clothing.

And, you’re probably sick of me saying this, but the neck strap is important. Easier to purchase a hat with it on than having to fiddle about sewing one on yourself.

This hat has an extreme back flap that you can velcro around the neck at the front. No chance of getting sunburnt when you’re all wrapped up. You might even lose your little one inside. lol.

Earthy colour scheme and just the thing for crawling around under bushes. It’d help keep the bugs and cobwebs off the head & neck, too.

Reversible sun hats for toddlers are a great idea and the toggle is a good way to tighten the hat to make sure it doesn’t blow off. It also allows you to purchase a slightly larger hat that may last at least a couple of years because of the fact that you can tighten it.

I know this for sure because my toddlers sun hats have had the toggle. However, I think I’d still be sewing a tie around the neck just to be perfectly sure. We have some pretty strong winds in Summer here in my part of Australia.

The soft green is a winner, a very practical colour and I can picture this one on a boy or a girl.

I love the splash of purple underneath the flap and the reinforced edges. Cotton sunhats for toddlers like this one are great because they breathe. Children tend to feel the heat so it’s important to choose appropriate material. I’m a big fan of cotton for anything that we have to wear against our skin.
